When the itch is gone herbs are still good for you and taste good. I often take a piece of root ginger chop it all up and pour boiling water over it for a pick me up and I chew the remaining ginger not so strong once it has steeped in hot water. I also put sliced ginger into my spaghetti while cooking to give it flavour in place of unhealthy salt.
